I have to admit that when I saw this free holiday offering with the group name of Big Daddy Weave, I thought we were in for a Rap/Hip-Hop take on Christmas...but, of course, after the preview and then downloading the whole song, I couldn't have been further from the truth.

This is a very solid, very Christian, Praise and Worship style song performed by a Contemporary Christian pop/rock group (with just a hint of country).

While this particular track is more traditional in nature as far as Praise and Worship goes, and will fit in nicely when putting together your holiday mix CDs, I feel it's worth mentioning that there is much more to this group than just this style.

If you are at all interested in modern styles of Christian pop/rock, check out the variety this group has to offer. Their songs are easy listening, well-arranged, very melodic...complete with powerful hooks. This band is very talented in all aspects and has been around for awhile. Heck, they've even pulled off a super rendition of Phil Collins' "Another Day In Paradise", which you can hear on their website.
